1957年フランスのボルドーに生まれ､1979年からイタリアのミラノで製作活動を行っている｡1986年までは､デザイナーとして､またメンフィスの創立メンバーとして活動し､様々なオブジェ､家具､カーペットのデザイン､またテキスタイルやプラスチックの化粧板の“装飾としてのサーフェイス”のデザインなどを行ってきた｡1987年からはアーティストとして活動｡彼女が手がけてきたペインティングやドローイング､彫刻などの作品は､これまで世界各国で多数開催されているソロエキシビションで発表されていて､近年ではPace Galleryやthe Camden Art Centre（ロンドン）､the ICA Philadelphia（フィラデルフィア）とのKunsthalle（ウィーン）などで展示された｡アーティストとしての活動のほか､HAYやアメリカンアパレルなどの企業とのコラボレーションも行っている｡

 

Nathalie Du Pasquier was born in Bordeaux (France) in 1957 and has been living and working in Milan (Italy) since 1979. Until 1986 she worked as a designer and was a founding member of MEMPHIS, designing various objects, furniture, carpets and “decorated surfaces” for textiles and plastic laminates. From 1987 she worked as an artist. Her paintings, drawings and sculptures have been shown internationally in numerous solo exhibition, recently at Pace Gallery London, the Camden Art Centre, the ICA Philadelphia and Kunsthalle Wien. Besides her work as an artist, she has been working with companies such as HAY, American Apparel among others.
