1959年ロンドン生まれ。レイベンズボーン・カレッジ、キングストン・ポリテクニック、RCA、ベルリンHdKでデザインを学ぶ。1986年に自身のデザインオフィス「Office for Design」をロンドンに開く。現在ロンドン、パリ、東京にスタジオを構え、常に新しい分野を開拓しながら、Vitra、Flos、無印良品、マルニ、JINSなど世界の企業へデザイン提供している。複数の著作をラース・ミュラー社より出版。ロンドンの自身の店、世界中の美術館、ギャラリーで様々な展示会を行っている。

Jasper Morrison (born 1959) was born in London, England. He received a Bachelor of Design degree from Kingston Polytechnic Design School in 1982 and a Master's degree in Design from the Royal College of Art, London, in 1985. Today, Morrison is one of the worlds most influential industrial designers and works on a global scale from London, Paris and Tokyo. His work ranges from tableware, electronics, furniture, lighting to vehicles, interior spaces, exhibition design and edition works, for leading global brands such as Vitra, Rowenta, Samsung, Established&Sons, SCP, Capellini, Alessi, Flos. His work has been exhibited internationally and is included in the permanent collections of numerous major museums.
