チャン・ウンモはソウル出身。ニューヨークのプラット インスティチュートにて、アートと建築を学びながら、MFAを取得。1987年より、芸術家としてイタリアへと拠点を移し、現在はウンブリアのトッレオルシナに在住している。彼女はこれまでに海外向けに、30回以上個展を催している。その画家としての活動のかたわら、Post Design （前： Memphis Group）のために、手編みのラグのデザインもしている。

Eun Mo Chung was born in Seoul, Korea and studied at and graduated MFA from the Graduate School of Art and Architecture - Pratt Institute, New York in 1980.  Since 1987 she lives and works as an artist in Italy, currently in Torre Orsina in Umbria. She has been exhibited internationally in more than 30 solo exhibitions. Besides her works as a painter, she designed a series of hand knitted rugs for Post Design (former Memphis Group)
